My illustration work includes pen and ink drawings, watercolours and digital drawings for children’s books and is focused around the natural world and animals.
Born in Liverpool in 1966, I graduated with a B.A. in Illustration from Brighton Polytechnic in 1991. Since then I have worked as a freelance illustrator, portrait painter, got a P.G.C.E., studied and taught multimedia and web design, lived in community on a Scottish island, helped manage a retreat centre….
…and had meaningful relationships with a horse, a man, a girl and a cat.
Currently based in Liverpool, I have come back to my roots and am working again in the field of illustration.
Things that inform my work are a gentle sense of humour and a love of the natural world, ecology and animals (especially horses!)
